Editorial Policy
Trust is everything for a news website. This page explains how we choose, check, write and correct our stories, so you know what to expect from us.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
1. What we do
The Peak Content covers breaking news, current affairs, crime, business, technology, AI and gaming for readers in India and around the world, in English and Hindi. Our aim is simple: report what matters, quickly, and explain it clearly.
2. Independence
We are an independent publication. We are not owned by any political party, government body or business group, and no advertiser, sponsor or outside person decides what we publish.
3. Accuracy and fact-checking
- We check facts with reliable sources before publishing: official statements, documents, public records, experts and people directly involved.
- We say where information comes from, and link to the original source whenever we can.
- When a story is still developing, we say so clearly and update it as we learn more.
- We do not publish rumours or unverified social media posts as fact.
4. News and opinion are kept separate
News reports tell you what happened. Opinion pieces share a writer's point of view. Opinion and analysis are published in our Opinions section or clearly labelled, so you always know which one you are reading.
5. Fairness and right of reply
When a story makes serious claims about a person or organisation, we try to contact them for their side before publishing, and we include their response. If they reply later, we update the story.
6. Sources and anonymity
We prefer named sources. We use anonymous sources only when the information is important, cannot be confirmed any other way, and the source could face real harm if named. We never reveal a confidential source's identity unless the law requires it.
7. Corrections policy
Everyone makes mistakes; what matters is fixing them openly.
- To report an error, email thepeakcontent5@gmail.com with the article link and what needs correcting.
- We review every request, usually within 48 hours.
- If we got something wrong, we fix the article and add a short note at the end saying what was changed and when.
- Small spelling or grammar fixes that do not change the meaning may be corrected without a note.
8. Advertising
Ads help keep our news free to read. Advertising is handled separately from the newsroom and never changes our reporting. Any sponsored or paid content will be clearly marked as "Sponsored".
9. Images, digital tools and translation
We credit photos and graphics wherever possible. We do not edit news photos in ways that mislead readers. Any digital tool we use to help with research or writing is checked by our editors, and every story is reviewed by a person before it is published.
To reach readers around the world, our stories are also translated automatically into other languages. Translated versions are clearly marked and always link back to the English original, which remains the official version.
10. Contact the newsroom
For news tips, corrections or feedback on our coverage, write to thepeakcontent5@gmail.com. We read every message.
